Governor Sonny Perdue will sponsor a
seven-city "listening tour" for public input into
the Investing in Tomorrow's Transportation
Today (IT3) initiative. IT3 is a collaborative
effort begun by Georgia's elected leadership and
the State Transportation Board.
As part of
IT3, state transportation agencies are working
with the transportation committees of the General
Assembly, stakeholder groups and the general
public to examine strategic goals and policies,
funding mechanisms and other states'
transportation successes.
During the week
of September 22, public meetings are scheduled
with top state transportation officials in
Atlanta, Augusta, Columbus, Dalton, Macon,
Savannah and Valdosta to receive input from
Georgians across the state.
The Atlanta
hearing will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m.,
Wednesday, September 24, at the Georgia World
Congress Center. For more information on IT3,
